On asking better questions of the cards

"Will I get the job?" is almost never the question you really want answered.

The first thing we usually do in a reading is reshape the question.

People arrive with sharp, binary questions: Will I get the job? Should I leave? Is he the one? The cards will answer those — but the answers tend to land flat, because the question wasn't really the question.

Behind will I get the job is usually something like: what am I actually looking for in work right now, and is this the shape of it? Behind should I leave is: what does it cost me to stay, and what would it cost me to go?

A useful tarot question is open enough that the answer can change you. What am I not seeing? almost always reads well. So does what does this part of my life need from me? and what am I ready to let go of?

Bring your binary question if it's the door in. Just be ready to have it gently rephrased before we draw.
